Good to know before you book

What's included in the cabins?

Each cabin is fully self‑contained, with bedding, heating, a well equipped kitchen, and a private ensuite bathroom. In winter, we also provide a drying rack for ski and snow gear. The living area has a Smart TV, allowing you to stream using your own mobile hotspot. Please bring your own towels and toiletries, as these are not supplied.

What's there to do?

Harrietville is a nature lover’s paradise. The town itself is full of character with a welcoming feel. Just steps from your cabin you’ll find crystal clear swimming holes, riverside walking tracks, picnic spots and native bushland. It’s the gateway to the Alpine National Park and Mount Hotham, with endless options for hiking, cycling, fishing, and snow adventures in the right season. If you’re after a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and explore the outdoors, Harrietville has everything you need without the crowds.

Is there heating and cooling?

All cabins are fitted with a split system to ensure a warm or cool stay year round, making Harrietville Cabins a cozy and comfortable option in both summer and winter.

Are pets allowed at Harrietville Cabins?

Yes. We welcome pets at Harrietville Cabins but they must remain outside the cabin. Each cabin has an undercover veranda where pets can stay protected from the weather.

What are the check‑in and check‑out procedures at Harrietville Cabins?

We offer a simple self‑check‑in and self‑check‑out process. When you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your cabin number and a helpful site map. On the morning of your arrival, we’ll also send you a text message with your door code, making it easy to arrive at your convenience. Check‑out is just as simple, just lock up and go.

Do the cabins have kitchen facilities?

Each cabin includes an equipped kitchen with full size oven, stove and microwave, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy a self-catered stay in Harrietville.

How far are Harrietville Cabins from Bright and Mount Hotham?

Harrietville Cabins are located just 20 minutes from Bright and 35 minutes from Mount Hotham, making them an ideal base for exploring the High Country, skiing, bushwalking, and cycling.

Can I charge my EV at your property?

No, we don't have EV charging facilities available. Due to our insurance policy, electric vehicles are not permitted to be plugged into any of our 240V powerpoints, whether inside or outside the cabins. We recommend arriving with enough charge or arranging a charging stop nearby prior to arrival.

Are there shops, groceries, or petrol available nearby?

We recommend stocking up before you arrive. Bright is the nearest hub for groceries, supplies, and petrol, offering everything you'll need for your stay including supermarkets, local providores, cafes, and fuel stations.

Where can I hire snow chains before heading up the mountain?

It's a legal requirement to carry snow chains on the Great Alpine Road between Harrietville and Omeo during the declared snow season, and to fit them when directed. We recommend Hoys in Harrietville, your last stop before the mountain. They're the snow chain experts with the largest hire fleet in Victoria, and when you hire your chains from them they'll fit them on you to check the size and show you how to fit and remove them yourself
